Online Marketing Trade Shows in Fall 2018
Table of Contents
The dmexco 2018, one of the most relevant trade fairs for online marketers and media professionals, is just around the corner. As every year, we are participating and are eager to learn about the latest developments and trends in online marketing.
To keep track of upcoming trade fairs, we have compiled an overview of some exciting events in online marketing.
dmexco 2018 – The Digital Marketing Expo and Conference
On September 12th and 13th, the dmexco 2018 takes place in Cologne under the motto "Take C.A.R.E - Curiosity - Action - Responsibility - Experience." In addition to topics like the GDPR and voice search, artificial intelligence, as already noted last year, emerges as a trending topic.
Besides the Conference Stage, the heart of the dmexco conference, a high-profile speaker lineup on 17 additional stages offers fascinating keynotes about innovative technology, collaborations, campaigns, and much more.
Industry leaders and media experts like Philipp Schindler (Google), Nikki Mendonca (Accenture Interactive), Pieter Haas (MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group & CECONOMY), and the Minister of State for Digital Affairs, Dorothee Bär, are among the attendees.
Holding the position, Dorothee Bär is the first to occupy the office. She aims to assist the federal government in digitalization with the newly established Digital Council. She regularly posts insights from the Federal Chancellery and her daily work on Twitter, bringing a fresh perspective.
The Start-Up Village also showcases tomorrow's generation of entrepreneurs. Among the 200 innovative start-ups, founders like Amber Atherton (Zyper.com), Constantin Eis (Casper), David Fischer (Highsnobiety), and many more present their ideas. We can look forward to exciting developments.

Brighton SEO
What started as a pub chat has quickly become one of the most popular destinations for SEO enthusiasts.
Two days packed with conference talks and training sessions await us at BrightonSEO, held on September 27th and 28th near London. Key search engine marketing topics such as voice search, mobile SEO, and technical on-page SEO are discussed. The event also offers the opportunity for hands-on training with top marketers to apply what has been learned directly.
The tickets for the event are in high demand – already 3,000 free tickets have been distributed since June. However, the chance to obtain a free ticket has now passed. Those who still wish to attend can, of course, secure a paid ticket.

OMK – The Online Marketing Conference in Lüneburg
For those who prefer less travel, Lüneburg is an excellent place for further education. The Leuphana University opens its doors for the 7th time, bringing together people from academia and business to explore the digitalization's development potential from various perspectives. Entrepreneur and advisor Prof. Dr. Klemens Skibicki addresses the topic "Digitalization – more a matter of mindset than technology!?!" in his keynote speech.
In 30 additional lectures by professors and marketing experts, participants learn about the latest research results and gain insights into renowned companies such as the Otto Group, Xing, FC Bayern, searchmetrics & many more e-commerce shops.
Also, bloggers Jil Zeletzki and Louisa Dallert discuss influencer marketing in an interview and explore questions about how optimal collaboration between influencers and companies looks and how to spot reputable influencers.

Networking during Oktoberfest
Bits & Pretzels in Munich is all about networking and learning, attracting over 5,000 founders, investors, and start-up enthusiasts.
Speaker highlights include Formula 1 driver and investor Nico Rosberg, satirist and Grimme Award winner Jan Böhmermann, and Tarana Burke, who initiated the hashtag #metoo and sparked substantial discussion.
The unique feature of the event is the Start-Up Academy, offering a chance to learn firsthand from the experiences and failures of significant entrepreneurs. In the Start-Up Academy, executives receive practical tips on negotiating safely and handling everyday situations in leadership roles.
The event concludes with Liquid Networking at Oktoberfest, providing participants the chance to share a table with over 150 experts like Anna Dimitrova (Managing Director Strategy & Digital, Vodafone Germany), Ralf Kleber (Country Manager, Amazon.com), or Antonella Mei-Pochtler (Senior Advisor, The Boston Consulting Group) to discuss current topics over a beer in a relaxed setting. Topics range from artificial intelligence and start-up models to the future of blockchains.

Wide Range of Topics at AllFacebook Marketing Conference
Facebook has faced considerable criticism in 2018 and needed to find new ways to become more attractive to users again after the data scandal involving Cambridge Analytica.
Now, the AllFacebook Marketing Conference is being held for the second time this year on October 8th in Berlin. Over 20 talks covering all relevant social media marketing topics take place across four stages. From beginners to advanced, from content creation to social advertising – there's a suitable topic for everyone.
