Finally, it was that time again: on March 2, 2017, one of the most important events in the online marketing industry began: the Online Marketing Rockstars Festival 2017 in Hamburg. The typical lousy weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of the 25,000 invited online marketers, so it all kicked off right on time at 10 AM with the first Expo presentation. In addition to over 100 exciting speakers on the Expo Stage, more than 200 exhibitors presented their new products and best practice cases in e-commerce.

Influencer Marketing - a Tool for Every Company?

This year, the topic of influencer marketing is particularly exciting for us. More and more companies are relying on the reach of relevant influencers to establish and optimize their branding. With engaging videos, YouTube stars reach millions in blogs, forums, and social media channels. Depending on the target objectives, influencers can generate clicks, leads, sales, and thus also revenues.

According to Adweek, around 70 percent of social media users no longer respond to regular banner ads (as of 2015). This makes relevant content, which is delivered by influencers trusted by target groups, even more important. In comparison to classic display advertising, influencers can reach their audience on an emotional level, allowing the benefits of your products to be optimally explained.

Influencer marketing is not suitable for every company. However, there are a variety of exciting campaign types, which is why you should definitely keep this channel in mind in your 2017 marketing mix.

How important are social signals to you? If you want to generate more likes, shares, or comments in the future, branded social videos could help. With these innovative short films about your product, you create new valuable content for your Facebook page. In the short videos, your products, recipes, or ideas can be ideally explained. Videos are delivered accurately to the relevant target group through an algorithm. Like influencers, these social videos create emotions and increased interest among end customers. OK - campaigns must be constantly optimized. But all efforts are in vain if the landing pages are not also optimally directed. How do your AdWords landing pages look? If you're not sure, you should re-examine how effectively users are directed to the search result. Imagine walking into a store and asking an employee where to find a particular product. The employee sends you wandering through the store so that soon you no longer feel like searching aimlessly among hundreds of other products.

That's how it feels in the online world. When we search for specific keywords, the landing pages should contain what the AdWords ads promise. By making online research as easy as possible for your customer, the bounce rate decreases, and the conversion rate increases. Sounds good? So optimize not only your campaigns but also the landing pages according to the individual needs of your customers.
